Jewel By Lisa's Vintage Love

Im really proud that a few african designers got to show off their stuff at the recently concluded New York Fashion Week. One of my favorites was JBL. i liked that she decided to come out of her comfort zone and make the clothes different from her usual sequined ankara style. She worked with vintage inspired prints, austrian lace and a bit of ankara.
err another thing is the fila (the caps) that she incorporated into this collection and i really hope it is a trend that does not catch on. it should just be a runway stunt like the ankara helmets Ituen Basi had in one of her collections.
All in all it was a beautiful collection and if wishes were horses i would have the green austrian lace and ankara dress *sigh*
