Happy New Year

i decided to make myself a vintage iro and buba for new years day, i had never worn one before and im a typical yoruba babe o (sad i know). so it was really cool to rock it and to pick out the aso oke (headtie) that would work best with it.

Ituen Basi made some in her independence collection and these are pictures of models and nigerian celebs rocking them above. She used two different ankara fabrics and ill probably try that next time because it was so comfortable ill deff be making some more.

i added some sequins to the sleeves for a little sparkle

im wearing my primark shoes (i know ive overworn these shoes)

the purse is vintage and was a gift from my aunt

i made the beaded necklace myself 

and the earings belomg to my mom
