Farm City, Lagos
9:04 PMHi Guys,
im finally back home! I got in on saturday morning and spent the whole day sleeping. I had missed the comfort of my room sooo much.
On the last day of school, Dare and I were guests of farm city. I had seen it a couple times but then i just thought it was a very large grocery store so i never really paid attention to it.
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was not just a store but also a restaurant/grill/bar facing the lagoon with bouncers and everything. Maybe it even turns into a club at night because the place was packed full. Its another good chill spot for a hangout with friends and you can be sure to spot a naija celeb or two. And if you live in lekki, the store has everything you would need from fresh pepper to seafood.
I was really impressed by the business minds of the owners, because basically you can find anything food related there. Plus all of their products are fresh and in tune with the new fit fam lifestyle. Oh and you guys have to try their pineapple and ginger fruit blend. its amaaazzzinnng. I didnt take a picture because i had finished it before i realised, but if youre ever there, make sure you buy it.
Im sure it seems like im overhyping the place but i'm not. The grilled fish was to die for and the shrimp fried rice.....ohmigeerrd......is the best ive ever tasted, mainly because they were not holding back with the shrimps at all. That rice was blessed with an abundance of shrimp. Even the asun was more than the usual quota, so i was very happy with the food.
Location: Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1
Pricing : Their prices are a lot more reasonable than other restaurants, you can get a plate of rice and chicken for 1,500 and there are places in Lagos where the drinks don't even cost 1,500, smh.
Service: Fast!, the grill is outside and they have a good number of staff so you can watch your food being made if you like and it didn't take up to 20 minutes to serve all of this food.
Ambience: Cool and relaxing, its just beside the water so there is a lot of breeze. I couldn't get a picture of the bar/restaurant because like i said the place was packed full. I did however get a picture of the lekki/ikoyi bridge and i could see shoprite from where i stood.
Would i go again? Yes! I can't wait to try all the stuff i didn't have when i went there.
Farm City also offers real estate services, if you would like to buy a beach house please send inquiries to:
P.s Special thanks to Mrs Wura Carew for being such an amazing host. I had an great time!

DeleteI went there last year December while in Lagos, although I didn't order any food because I wasn't in the mood (see what I did there) but I ordered for cocktails, I think the Bloody Mary initally, after taking 10 minutes or more the waiter got back to us and said there was none available, changed my order to Sex On The Beach, took him another say 20 minutes to get back to us with the same "there's none", I settled for the chapman which took minutes to prepare, I wasn't really impressed with the service delivery.
ReplyDeleteThat aside, the view is beautiful and they have this extended pavement thing where you can sit over the water, really nice.
